Its a subspecies of plain zebra in South Africa. On arrival of the Dutch settlers, it was hunted leading to extinction.

Its bones and tusks were largely used by humans for making tools and dwellings. They were also hunted for food and the end result was extinction

It was the largest mammal second to whale. Europeans hunted it in large scale leading to extinction
¶ Tasmanian tiger
It was similar to a dog but with a stiff tail. Introduction of dogs and human encroachment led to extinction
