During the cold season, our bodies tend to react differently to the cold, and so are animals. Humans though are fairly unique in how they handle crazy weather. We put on an extra sweater or turn on air conditioners when temperatures swing out of the comfort zones.
What of animals? How are they able to adapt to the winter seasons? Animals have their own natural defense mechanisms that they use when there is a change of weather.
Migration into the warmer environs
Some animals tend to migrate into the warmer environments, when unable to handle the very cold environments, so they are able to survive.
Slipping into commas
Animals such as the turtle may not breathe for weeks during the winter season but are usually conscious enough.
Stocking up for the winter
A squirrel will sense winter and start to bury nuts underneath, to feed on during the winter season.
Some animals also huddle together for warmth.
