This type of pigeon existed in North America. On the arrival of Europeans, they were hunted for cheap meat on industrial scale, leading to extinction.

It was a flightless bird that went extinct

It got extinct due to poaching. The last traces were found in Cameroon

Its a subspecies of plain zebra in South Africa. On arrival of the Dutch settlers, it was hunted leading to extinction.

Explorers in Europe used it as a convenient food source leading to extinction

¶ Wolly mammoth

Its bones and tusks were largely used by humans for making tools and dwellings. They were also hunted for food and the end result was extinction

¶ Stellers sea cow

It was the largest mammal second to whale. Europeans hunted it in large scale leading to extinction

¶ Tasmanian tiger

It was similar to a dog but with a stiff tail. Introduction of dogs and human encroachment led to extinction
