On realising that the cub would die, the elephant offered to carry him using his trunk, walking beside its mother. He led him to a pool of water.
This was a very kind act. The name wild animals should actually change. They are not wild animals. They are friendly animals.
If animals can show kind actions to each other, we ought to treat them better; with love and respect. This means taking care of their welfare, which is well defined by their five freedoms. Freedom from hunger and thirst, freedom from pain and injury, freedom from fear and stress, freedom from discomfort and freedom to express their natural behavior.
