Due to the increase in population, food sources have become scarce. An increase in population calls for an increase in demand for food, hence, the demand for animal products has risen.
The demand is viewed as a current issue because bloggers love to write on hot current issues, it has prompted them to start blogging on animal welfare related issues.
Insufficient plant feed stuffs
The different plant feed-stuffs that we have have been unable to sustain the rapidly growing population, forcing people to start sourcing for animal products. As the demand for these products increases, the prices also increase. This easily prompts the bloggers to start blogging on animal welfare. This is because, for animal to give you a quality product, its welfare must be well taken care of.
The five animal freedoms
By taking care of an animal, you have to incorporate all the five animal freedoms i.e. Freedom from hunger and thirst, Freedom from pain, disease and injury, Freedom from fear and stress, freedom from discomfort and freedom to express natural behavior.

The livestock revolution has been projected as a period whereby the demand for animal products will skyrocket to match increasing human population. This presents an excellent opportunity for developing countries to increase their livestock production muscle.
This extract clearly shows that as the demand for animal products continues to increase, bloggers will continue to blog on animal welfare and what it entails.
