Siblings at times get at logger heads, find themselves in compromising situations fighting each other. When i was 8 years old, i entered the house and found my younger sister wearing my cardigan. I could not stomach the fact that she was wearing something that i liked so much, that even pulled out a good look on her than it used to on me. So i grabbed her wanting an explanation as to why she was wearing it. I know so many of you are thinking of how mean I am. But for sure that was mean, right? But kids will always be kids.
She was now screaming at the top of her voice, so terrified that i was almost beating her up. Our cat who did not have a clue on what was going on was super scared. He had always been a friendly cat and rarely saw people engaging in a fight.
My little sister was now screaming for help not knowing what to do and the cat couldnt help it but pounce on me and realising that he was on top my head, trying to defend my sister, i let her go but with a lot of fury in me. I had to assure the cat that all was well and he couldnt help but look at us with contentment on his face. He was such a protective cat who didnt love to see people fight.
So the next time you engage in a fight in the presence of an animal, remember they are sentient. They also feel and experience, only that they dont have the control over your actions.
